Dennis Mukai's works as featured on this website involve paintings of
women in various poses. Most frequent in his work are head/shoulder poses,
done in a very abstract style against a white background. Typically the
number of colors used is limited (below 16), and the only facial details
painted are the lips, eyes, eyebrows, and part of the nose. The remaining
facial details are left to the imagination of the viewer.. In general
hair and other ornamental details are done in fairly wide brush strokes,
and give a feel for the model, rather than an exact replication. Lately, Dennis has been at work combining photography with his own unique style.
